Saint John, New Brunswick
An industrial port town whose fog and smog seem interchangeable. Great brick Victorian town manors dot every corner. Smoke stacks and cargo cranes stand as tall as cathedral steeples while deep water harbors' service the needs of commerce. Its history is steeped in colonialism starkly evident by the architecture and the unavoidable monoliths of extraction capital - the Irving oil refinery, the second largest on the North American east coast...
This is just a timbit crumb of Saint John lore that I'll expand upon as the project grows.
